All Dressed Up

There's nothing like getting all done up for a night at the ballet to get me into the holiday spirit. We went to see Mathew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty at the LA Music Center during it's short run. It was a little strange, like all his work, and completely marvelous.

Day at the Museum

Mr C and I went to MOCA yesterday for the exhibit Transmission LA: AV CLUB.

We double dated with these fabulous folks and took lots and lots of photos of this eye candy art show.

I highly recommend a trip to the museum to see this. The show is free Thursday - Saturday and there's outdoor entertainment, cocktails and food trucks for a full on get-ready-for-summer art party.

Daikokuya Ramen

I mentioned that we visited my favorite noodle kitchen when we went to LA a couple weeks back.

Mia and Ian go to the MOCA

Ian looking at Robert Frank by Mia
Sunday, we visited the MOCA in LA to see the recent acquisitions, including Robert Frank's "The Americans." Ian pretended to be impressed.

This is the bathroom of the MOCA—excellent for taking self portraits.

We walked from the museum to Little Tokyo, passing some lovely buildings along the way.

LA Times spinning globe by Mia
After hot tea and huge ramen bowls, we made our way back up the hill, sight seeing in the dark and standing for a while in the doorway to the LA Times to watch the giant globe spin.
